The Meaning of Christos: The Anointed One
Before the Romanized version of Christianity took hold, the earliest followers of Yeshua understood Him as the Christos (Χριστός)—a Greek term meaning “Anointed One.” This title was not merely symbolic but carried deep spiritual and transformative significance. Anointing with sacred oil was a ritual act of divine consecration, marking one as set apart for a higher purpose.
To receive the Christic Anointing is to align oneself with the divine power of God’s love—a power that liberates, illuminates, and protects against the forces of darkness. It is through this anointing that one steps into the fullness of Yeshua's mission, overcoming evil not through law or violence, but through divine wisdom and spiritual authority.
The early believers—those who followed Yeshua before Constantine’s imperial church—saw anointing as an initiation into divine knowledge and transformation. This was not merely an external ritual but a spiritual infusion of the presence of God, meant to:
Awaken divine wisdom – The anointing opens spiritual sight, revealing hidden truths and breaking free from worldly deception.
Empower against evil – The anointed one is shielded from spiritual corruption, walking in the authority of divine love rather than fear.
Unite with God – Through anointing, one is drawn into divine oneness, becoming a vessel of heaven’s will on earth.
This understanding was central to Pre-Nicene Christianity, before Roman rulers altered the faith. The earliest followers of Yeshua saw His anointing as the key to our own transformation—a blueprint for our return to divine perfection.
Evil forces thrive when humanity is kept ignorant of divine truth, trapped in legalism, and bound to worldly systems. Through the Christic Anointing, we break these chains.
Yeshua received anointing by the Holy Spirit and was driven into the wilderness to overcome Satan’s deception (Luke 4:1-13).
He healed the sick, cast out demons, and defied religious legalism because He walked in the fullness of divine anointing.
He anointed His disciples, sending them out with authority to heal, teach, and break the power of evil (Mark 6:7-13).
This anointing is not just for Yeshua—it is for all who seek to align with the divine and reject the systems of darkness.
After the Council of Nicaea (325 AD), Constantine’s church distorted the meaning of Yeshua's anointing, replacing it with a system of religious control. The imperial church centralized power, making itself the gatekeeper of divine grace. But before this, the early followers of Yeshua understood: Anointing was not about a religious institution—it was about spiritual empowerment. Yeshua did not come to enforce laws—He came to anoint us with divine truth. The Kingdom of God is within us, activated through divine anointing.
To reclaim the Christic Anointing is to step outside the structures of man-made religion and return to the direct communion with the divine that Yeshua taught.
The anointing is not a ritual—it is a transformation. It is the moment when we: Reject the legalism of YHWH’s rigid laws and embrace God’s perfect love. Step into divine authority, no longer enslaved by fear or deception.Open our hearts fully to the guidance of the Divine Spirit. By invoking the Christic Anointing, we realign with the original teachings of Yeshua:
Seek the Divine Presence – In prayer and meditation, ask to be filled with the light of God.
Renounce the deceptions of the world – Release fear, false doctrine, and worldly control.
Walk in the authority of love – Heal, teach, and serve as Yeshua did, anointed in divine wisdom.
Yeshua was not simply a teacher—He was the model of the anointed life. His mission was to break the chains of false religion and awaken humanity to divine truth.
To be anointed in Yeshua is to be freed from all earthly control, empowered by God’s perfect love.
Let us return to the Pre-Nicene understanding of Yeshua's anointing, stepping into the fullness of spiritual awakening—free from imperial deception, free from fear, and aligned with the divine truth that was hidden for too long.
So Be It!
Since ancient times, anointing oils have been regarded as spiritual technology—divinely charged substances that serve as gateways to Christ consciousness, healing, and protection. These oils were not merely fragrant or medicinal; they were infused with spiritual frequencies that aligned the soul with the divine.
In the Pre-Nicene Christian era, as well as in mystical traditions predating Rome’s control, sacred oils were seen as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual. When applied with intention and prayer, these oils:
Enhanced spiritual perception by unlocking deeper wisdom and divine revelation.
Created a protective field by shielding the anointed from lower energies and demonic influences.
Activated the divine within by wakening latent spiritual gifts and aligning the soul with the Creator.
Facilitated healing, acting as conduits for God’s restorative power.
The ancient Christic Oils were among the most potent anointing substances used by Yeshua Himself.
The following sacred oils were known to carry high vibrational properties, making them ideal for spiritual awakening, protection, and divine alignment:
Myrrh – Used for spiritual protection and healing; anchors higher wisdom into the body.
Cinnamon Oil -Symbolizes divine love, spiritual fire, protection, healing, and boldness in faith, as used in biblical anointing to sanctify and empower individuals for sacred purpose.
Cassia – A fiery anointing oil, used for purification and breaking free from spiritual oppression.
"Kaneh Bosm/Cannabis - The oil of divine wisdom, healing, spiritual elevation, and anointing for deeper communion with God, used to anoint the faithful.
Spikenard – A sacred oil of devotion; Mary Magdalene anointed Christ’s feet with this before His crucifixion, symbolizing the highest form of love and surrender.
Frankincense – The oil of divine connection; raises consciousness, purifies the soul, and strengthens one’s link to God.
Rose of Sharon (Cistus) – Associated with divine grace and Christic energy, opening the heart to deep spiritual love.
Cedarwood – Grounds the spirit and fortifies against dark forces; used by prophets for strength.
Hyssop – Mentioned in scripture as a cleansing agent; purges negative energy and enhances divine vision.
Galbanum – An ancient oil linked to the presence of celestial beings; used in sacred temple rituals.
Sandalwood – Aligns the soul with higher realms; increases meditative states and connection to divine truth.
Balsam (Balm of Gilead) – The oil of anointment and healing, known for sealing spiritual wounds.
Rome may have hidden the sacred knowledge of anointing, but the truth is now being rediscovered. These oils, when used with the right intention, prayer, and divine alignment, serve as spiritual tools—activating the Christic frequency within and empowering us to walk in the fullness of God’s love.
As we reclaim the lost wisdom of the early anointed ones, we step closer to restoring the pure teachings of Christ—untainted by empire and returned to divine truth.
Let us anoint, awaken, and ascend in divine perfection
Baptism, as practiced by Yeshua and His early followers, was a ritual of purification and transformation. It represented:
A washing away of impurities – Both physically and spiritually, removing attachments to worldly corruption.
A death and rebirth – Symbolizing the departure from the old self and the emergence of the new, aligned with YHYH’s divine will.
A public declaration – A commitment to walk in divine truth and reject the systems of deception and control.
Pre-Nicene vs. Post-Nicene Baptism
Before Constantine's imperial church, Baptism was understood as a mystical transformation, not just a rite of membership into an institution. It was a powerful act of cleansing and awakening, performed in living water (rivers, springs) to restore divine harmony within the initiate.
However, after the Council of Nicaea (325 AD), Baptism was gradually stripped of its deeper esoteric meaning and turned into a legalistic requirement for church entry, often forced upon converts to submit them to religious authority.
Anointing with sacred oils, on the other hand, was an activation of divine energy. Unlike Baptism, which purifies, Anointing:
Seals the divine presence within the initiate – Awakening spiritual gifts and aligning the soul with divine wisdom.
Empowers against spiritual opposition – Creating a barrier against negative forces and lower vibrational influences.
Imbues divine authority – Just as kings, prophets, and Yeshua Himself were anointed, those receiving this anointing step into a higher purpose.
Yeshua was not only baptized in water but also anointed by the Spirit (Matthew 3:16). This anointing gave Him the divine power to:
Heal the sick
Cast out demons
Speak divine truth against worldly authorities
Walk in the fullness of YHYH’s love and wisdom
When Mary Magdalene anointed Yeshua with Spikenard, she was not just honoring Him—she was performing a sacred act of spiritual initiation. The disciples, too, were given oil to anoint the sick and cast out darkness (Mark 6:13).
However, Constantine’s church removed the sacred practice of anointing, keeping believers spiritually weak and dependent on an institution rather than direct communion with YHYH.
To walk fully in the path of Christ, one should receive both:
Baptism for purification and rebirth into divine truth
Anointing for empowerment, protection, and divine activation
Baptism washes away the old
Anointing activates the divine within
Yeshua Himself received both—and so should those who seek to fully align with the Divine.
Let us reclaim the sacred wisdom of Yeshua and walk in the fullness of divine truth.
So Be It!
